Free furniture CAD blocks for Archicad
Archicad merges DXF files into the floor plan, elevations and worksheets. Save the view you need as an object, and you can place it again.
Bringing a block into Archicad
Merge the file
Open the floor plan. Choose File, then Interoperability, then Merge, and pick the DXF. Choose Merge content of Model space into current View.
Check the units
In the next dialog, click Settings. Under Drawing Unit, set 1 drawing unit to 1 millimetre, then place the drawing. You can't change a locked translator, so duplicate it and change the copy.
Save the plan as an object
Select the plan's lines. Choose File, then Libraries and Objects, then Save Selection as, then Object. Save it to the Embedded Library, or to a linked library to use it in other projects.
Place it
Place the new object with the Object tool, as many times as you need.
Add an elevation
For the front or side, open the interior elevation or worksheet and merge the file there. Then delete the views you don't need.
To turn all three views into separate objects in one go, choose File, then Libraries and Objects, then Import Blocks from DXF/DWG. Archicad makes each block into its own library part.
