Free furniture CAD blocks for Rhino
Rhino 8, on Windows and Mac, imports DXF files and keeps blocks as blocks. The outline sits on layer 0, so it takes its colour from each copy you place.
Bringing a block into Rhino
Import the file
Open your model, choose File, then Import, and pick the DXF. To start a new model from it, choose File, then Open, instead.
Set the units
In the import options, set Model units to millimetres, then import.
Find the views
The plan, front and side arrive as three blocks, with names ending in _PLAN, _FRONT and _SIDE. Choose Edit, then Blocks, then Block Definitions to list them.
Place a view
Choose File, then Insert, pick a block by name and click where you want it. You can also drag a name from the Block Definitions panel into a viewport.
Need only one view? Delete the other two copies. Their block definitions stay in the file, so you can insert them again later.
